The Shopify read has not come back, so there are no variant ids to build a link from.
Then
  1. Open it in an incognito window. A browser already carrying a customer session attaches the order to that customer, and the program pays on new customers.
  2. Check out with an email that has never orderedon this store. Shopify's orders_count is what decides is_new_customer, and a reused address makes the one number this test exists to prove come back wrong.
  3. Pay with Bogus Gateway. Card number 1, any name, any future expiry, any three digit CVV. It sets test: true on the order, which is the flag ALLOW_TEST_ORDER_ATTRIBUTION lets through.
  4. Confirm the discount actually came off at the checkout. If it did not, the code is dead in Shopify whatever this page recorded, and nothing after this point means anything.
And check
  1. An attributions row for the order, with source of code.
  2. A snowball_sales row with source of shopify, a commission equal to the live payout, and is_new_customer set.
  3. The sale on that creator's own page, in Orders and in what they have earned. Pick somebody above and this becomes a link to them.
  4. Then turn ALLOW_TEST_ORDER_ATTRIBUTION back off, redeploy, and delete the rows. They are real rows and a payout run will pay them.
