Creator program

Questions

The ones we get asked most, answered with the numbers the program is actually running on today.

The basics4
What is this?

We send you a box of REFUSE for free, and give you your own discount code and your own tracked link. When somebody buys with either one, you earn $20 per new customer. That is the whole program: no contract to sign, no content calendar and no minimum.

Is the box really free?

Yes. Nothing to buy, nothing to pay, and we cover the shipping. It is one box per creator while we have stock to send, and none of it is conditional on you posting anything.

Do I have to post?

No. Nobody is counting, and nothing is withheld if you never post at all. If you try it and it is not for you, telling us why is genuinely more useful to us right now than a post you did not want to make.

Do I have to be 18?

Yes. Creatine is for adults, and we do not ship product to, or pay commission to, anybody under 18. You confirm it when you claim your box or when you sign up, whichever way you came in.

The money8
What do I earn?

$20 per new customer. 10 sales on your code earns the move to $25 per new customer, permanently, and the raise applies from your next sale on rather than backwards over the ones already recorded. New customers only: somebody buying on your code for the second time earns you nothing, because what we are paying for is a customer we did not have.

Is there a bonus?

$100, once, for clearing 10 sales. It is a one time payment and not a rate change, it sits on top of everything your code has already earned, and we send it ourselves rather than through the monthly run.

When does a sale become payable?

30 days after the order. That is the return window, so a refund surfaces before the money moves rather than after. It is a delay and never a deduction: the amount is yours the moment the sale lands, and your kit shows the date each held amount clears.

How do I get paid?

PayPal or Venmo, whichever you set in your kit. Payouts go out on the 5th of each month and cover everything that has matured by then. We need a payout address on file to send anything, and until there is one the money sits waiting rather than going anywhere else.

What happens if someone returns an order?

If the order is cancelled or refunded in full, the commission comes off before it is ever paid, which is most of the reason the 30 day wait exists. If that happens after we have already sent you the money, we do not come back and ask for it.

What if they only get part of an order back?

Your commission stands, in full. You are paid a flat amount for introducing somebody who had never bought from us, so a courtesy credit, a refunded shipping charge or one item going back does not undo the introduction. We record what came back and leave your money alone.

Do I earn on my own order?

No. Your own purchase on your own code is recorded at zero, because the program pays for customers you introduce. Your code still gives you the discount, and we would rather say this plainly than have you find it in a number that did not move.

Why do you need a W-9?

Over $1,000 paid to one person in a calendar year and we owe them a 1099, which we cannot file without a W-9 first. So we ask before the payment that would cross the line, and that payment waits until the form arrives. Below that line you never hear about any of it, and we never store a tax ID number in this app: a status and the file you sent, nothing else.

Your code, and posting4
What is my code, and does it expire?

A free gift, 8 stick packs, for anybody who uses it on any order. It is not money off the price, so it is the same offer whether they buy one stick pack or a case of bottles. It is named after you, it is yours to keep, and it does not expire. The coupon behind it carries a redemption limit, which is there so a code that ends up on a deal site cannot run away with our margin, and we watch how close each code is getting and raise it.

Can I share my code publicly?

Yes, and the thing to lead with is your link. The link is what carries the free gift: a fan who clicks it has the gift added for them automatically, with nothing to remember and nothing to type. Your code is yours to say out loud, put in a bio and send to a group chat, and a sale on it is credited to you exactly the same way, so you are paid either way. What the code does not do yet is add the gift by itself, so if somebody only hears the code and never clicks the link, they pay full price and you still earn. We are building the typed path and will tell you the day it works. The one thing we ask you not to do is publish either to a coupon aggregator or a deal site, because those hand your code to people you never reached.

What do I have to disclose when I post?

Say it is an ad or a gift, in the post itself and not buried in the comments. #ad, #gifted or "REFUSE sent me this" all work. The FTC requires it whenever there is a material connection and a free box is one, it protects you more than it protects us, and it performs fine.

Who do I talk to?

founders@drinkrefuse.com. There are two of us and we both read it. A flavor you want us to make, a different cut of the footage, an address change, or the product just is not for you: all of it is worth sending and none of it is a bother.

Still stuck

If the answer is not up there, it is worth an email. We would rather answer it twice than have you guess.
